This retreat is part of The Cities We Dream In, a global retreat series for Black American changemakers seeking rest, ancestral reconnection, and new models of liberated leadership.
The Portugal edition offers seven days across Lisbon and the Algarve, exploring histories of colonization, resistance, and Black presence. Participants are invited to rest, remember, and reimagine their lives beyond survival.

Who should join the retreat?
People of African descent who are ready to recharge and explore social and economic possibilities outside of the US. This retreat is ideal for social leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and culture shapers who want to explore Portugal through a diaspora lens, expand their global community, and imagine new possibilities for their lives and work.
Do I need a Visa for this trip?
U.S. passport holders do not need a visa for short-term travel to Portugal. If you are traveling on a non-U.S. passport, please check your specific visa requirements. Our team can guide you through any questions you may have about entry.
Where will wE stay?
Participants will stay at five-star accommodations in both Lisbon and the Algarve. All lodging is selected for comfort, cultural proximity, and access to neighborhood experiences that enrich the retreat.
How much does the retreat cost?
The retreat cost starts at $4,999.
What is included in the trip cost?
Your retreat experience includes accommodations, daily breakfast and select curated meals, guided wellness sessions, ground transportation in Portugal, guided cultural excursions, and all scheduled retreat activities.

What is NOT included in the trip cost?
Airfare, travel insurance, passport fees, optional activities, and personal purchases are not included.
